A lot of this stuff is an extension of the identity program, like press kits and white pages and stuff. You know, it's not quite ID, but not quite Advertising.

These are the things you hand to people at Trade Shows or in meetings, or when you need to make a presentation.

To me that makes them pretty important, and yet a lot of companies can't seem to justify the expense of having this stuff.

However, if you are going to a trade show and you get handed 150 folders, which one are you paying attention to, the one with a sticker of the company's logo on it, or the one with the clever illustration and startling attention to color?
