| As a former print shop owner, I was able to recently evaluate Jon’s work for me as a graphic artist from a variety of perspectives. First of all, I was struck by his professionalism. I knew what to expect, when to expect it – and was never surprised by what I received. That alone is an admirable and almost unheard-of trait for a graphic artist to possess, where miscommunication between client and artist is a normal, everyday occurrence. Jon’s talent as an artist is considerable. I went to Jon for the design of a cover for my two books, and for my husband’s book. One thing that I must mention is my desire (and my husband’s) to find a route around publishing where good authors can become best-selling authors on their own – without having to succumb to abusive publishing contracts, the likes of which have been mentioned about record industry contracts in the media. To accomplish this, we needed award-winning covers and inside page designs. My husband and I know that by breaking the mold in publishing we will be judged by higher standards than establishment publishers will be judged. Jon knew this, and he delivered not one but three award-winning covers. The work went smoothly and easily – again, in a manner unusual to the business of graphic design.
