feeling: Stressed out, duh.
I really want to take a month off. Seriously. I am so stressed out. I really wish someone would just hand me enough money to live off of for a year so I could take some time and learn some stuff, explore some stuff, get some sleep (I have not been sleeping well...again), maybe go back to school, something.
If you want to know why, hit the link for the full entry. If you don't, and I don't really expect you to, just chalk it up to me freaking out because of the holidays and the big artificial deadline of January 1, and move on.

So, some people have started to ask about the formal pictures from the wedding and here is my official statement. The photographer needs at least a month (more realistically 6-8 weeks) to get the proofs ready to be printed, when they are posted on-line I will let you know. When we get our book, I will let you know. Until then, please enjoy the pictures posted by Jon and there will soon be more when I get a chance to post what was taken by the table cameras. So we will be sending out cards with pictures after we get them, but they won't be in your christmas cards.
thank you for your patience - so please fasten your seat belts, put you tray table in the up right position and enjoy your stay.

So, I know no one else is going to be excited about this, but last weekend I used Apple's GarageBand to record audio if myself shooting my paintball gun, then I used the little graphic in the recorder to see how fast I was shooting in Balls Per Second. The answer? 17. That's also, not coincidentally, as fast as my gun's circuit board will allow it to shoot. Click the screenshot to blow it up and see for yourself.

feeling: I crave fat, sugar, salt and caffeine.
So, recently I've been thinking about doing a self portrait for the upcoming redesign of ohTwentyone.com, and as part of my thinking I've been looking at the headshots that other designers that I respect use for publicity shots on their own sites. This is what I have gathered:
So, I ask you, which are your favorites?
Is there something about me that I need to capture in my portrait?
Is it better to be professional, silly, personable, candid, dramatic, pensive, casual?

The Hollenbecks are under attack by the griddler. Batman is in need of assistance to handle this evil creation!
