This is the entry that I've chosen to catalog paintball videos that I like and find online. You'll notice that I've put a permanent link to it in the sidebar, so you can find it whenever you need it.

This is the type of thing that needs to be done so that people can watch paintball on TV. They have grill-cams, and driver-cams in NASCAR. It makes total sense. Cut this footage in with overhead cams and those cable cams you see at the XGames and at football stadiums. Put cams on the refs. Aggregate as much footage as possible, then get someone with an idea of how to tell a friggin' story (as opposed to the current crop of paintball "Directors" who give us a 3 day event boiled down into 45 minutes of people getting bunkered) and you've got something we can watch.
I also think it'd be an important evaluative tool for platers, but as Ollie Lang has all but told us, most pro players are not nearly as interested in getting better as they are getting famous. Pro paintballers are not pros, by any stretch. Most of them don't even train. :-(

...from all of us (That's Jocie and I) to all of you (everyone who reads this blog and isn't seated at the table in the picture). We had an awesome christmas eve dinner at our house, and an awesome christmas day at Ed & Nancy's (with some Killer s'ghetti ala Terri to top it all off).
We hope you had a good one too.

So here I am, at mom and dad's, I am lying here a wake obsessing about my grades, as they were supposed to be handed in yesterday by all of the teachers and I haven't been able to check mine yet. But I must wait until 6am because that is when the grade site opens back up. Is this stupid, why yes it is but as I have been awake for a while anyway I figure that I might as well sit up and wait for the site to open so that I can stop losing sleep over school and finally enjoy my time off.
For those of you that don't know Kevin is using my car currently since his broke down at thansgiving and therefore I am strandard upon the good nature of mom and dad and their cars. Anywa, I'm just dropping a line whilst I wait. I hope all is well else where.

So, I had some fun writing in people's Christmas cards. Next year I'll have to start a little sooner so I can doodle in all of them.
Even if in some of them I would just end up drawing little ninjas or something. ;-)

feeling: I have the blues. I don't know why. I am a nervous traveler.
So. This is the first mark to come out of the KeepOpen.com logo sketches I have been doing for the last week or so.
The idea is that because we give users control of their own content (without the astronomical fees that are normally associated with setting up a custom CMS based site) we are leaving open the door to the web.
It's also kind of friendly without being cute, and it's nerdy without being overly techy.
Comments, as always, are appreciated. Oh yeah, and click on the logo to see it bigger.

Okay, so I am a retard, and I submitted my blog about the logo twice. I'm sorry.
So, to fix it, here's a video:

feeling: Fine. Tired. Dragging ass something awful.
So, this thing is a Dangerous Power Fusion. The remarkable thing about the 'gun is that it's a)Stock, b)cheap. The configuration being shot in this video costs $375 new-in-box. Which is pretty amazing considering it will shoot 25bps and this guy is nailing a metal stake in the ground at 50'.
If you look at the paint as it's coming out, it looks like it's coming back at you, because the shot is SO fast and SO consistent. MAN.
I sincerely hope this gun picks up stream. It looks like a really solid design, and from what I've read, they are very well made.

Well, I know I showed all of you the prototype of my new site while I was home over thanksgiving...but it's finally been published. I dont' know how long it'll stay the way it is, because I can already see some technical problems with it, and I need to rewrite how the Flash items get loaded, and how they scale once they are on the page...but it's UP!
The most important thing is that it's all new work. Everything on that site has been designed in the last year, and that's important to me.
Those of you who saw the prototype, you'll notice that I've added links to the archives of websites that I designed for myself ranging back to 2001. So, now you can page backward and see the work I've done in years past. So, it's not so much that I'm forsaking my old work as it is that I am building archived volumes, and I am not including old content in new ones.
So anyway, go to my personal graphic design portfolio, http://jon.sandruck.com.

feeling: Fine. I'm I little tired.
So, this year I've designed a little christmas card for Jocelyn and I to send to people...and clients...and people that my rep, Brent is trying to sell.
For all of you who check this thing, but won't be writing me a check anytime soon, so might not get one, here it is in all its FlashPaper glory: ohTwentyone Christmas Card.
Feliz Navidad. Give wreaths a chance.
Oh yeah, and I've HEARD about the thing in Colorado with the people getting sued over the peace sign wreath. That's why I did the card. I'm fun like that.
