Okay, so I was reading this article about how newspapers are freaking out about losing readers, or not getting new, young readers...and I think it's dumb how they are approaching it. Why don't they realize that the reason that their product is not getting picked up is because it SUCKS?!?
Seriously? Which is better? A searchable, scanable, scalable RSS Newsfeed filled with only topics that you care to read about, by authors that you care to read, delivered to your cellphone, PDA, or Laptop; or a 5 pound wad of low-quality paper that you have to carry around, getting ink on your hands, and eventually taking up space on your desk before it takes up space in your trash can before it takes up space in a landfill or "recycling" center?
Seriously? Did you have to think about it?

So I was wondering if any one knew the best way to win Mario on Mario golf, what is the trick. I've already won Yoshi and Harry and a couple of other people but I can not seem to get past Mario he's just to damn good for me.
I've tried Yoshi, Baby Mario, Peach, and Harry. I guess I'll just keep practicing - it might help if I did this when I was awake instead of after I get home from the study and can't seem to sleep yet time. ![]()

"Today I made a Black Forest cake out of five pounds of cherries and a live beaver, challenging the very definition of the word "cake." I was very pleased. Malraux said he admired it greatly, but could not stay for dessert. Still, I feel that this may be my most profound achievement yet, and have resolved to enter it in the Betty Crocker Bake-Off."

So I got a letter in my mailbox telling me that I had a package. So all through my class I'm all excited that my book has finally arrived from Amazon.com. But no when I get there what is it but a care package from mom and dad. And while I was down for a moment the pink care bears socks inside made me happy again. Thanks Mom- Where do you find this stuff? ![]()

So, how cool is it that other people are posting on the 'blog? It's pretty freakin' cool...that's how cool it is. It was the intention of this site that we'd use it to keep track of each other and let each other know about what's going on in our lives without having to say "I hate my job" or "I like to play video games" or "You know, I ate a lot of croissants while I was on our cruise" when we saw everyone..and I'm glad that someone else looks like they get it!
Hopefully Jocie will be posting about the kooky dream that she had the other night (which, I understand will be accompanied by a drawing), and I will be using this space to solicit reactions to a new website I am building in the course of my JOB SEARCH!
Before this post gets too long though, I'll put the rest after the jump...

feeling: damn good
Ok so I just got paid on Friday so what did I do with my money but spend some of it on a video game and what video game but Mario golf of course. So last night after I got in from the studio, you know around 1am I wasn't really tired but I needed to relax so I could go to bed so what better to do then play some Mario Golf. So me and Plum were doing pretty bad, seeing as we were trying to teach Kevin how to play and we were feeling kind of blue until at the 13th hole what should happen but a Hole-in-one it was a small miracle, and then on the 15th hole an albatrass, or double-eagle (according to Kevin). Ahh video games they can relieve so much pressure. ![]()

Okay, so I was just thinking about some stuff, and I've decided that there are things that I should have learned in school that no one told me.
There are also things that I should have learned my first years in business that I do not know, and that is why I am 26, seriosly sidetracked on my career path, and wondering how other designers, who may be less talented than myself, manage to pull this shit off.
I blame you, Diane.
There is so much stuff I don't know because you couldn't be on time for class.
I blame you too Jon Walker.
You should have known better than to offer me what I wanted.
I blame you too, Myself.
You should have listened to people when they told you stuff. Dumbass.

I am going to die my hair blonde...then I am going to shave my head down to 1/2 inch every sunday. I figure over a period of 6 weeks this will reveal which part of my hair grows fastest.
Look at that. It's a legitimate (although fairly insignificant) scientific experiment that requires that I shave my head. Yeah! Fuckers.

Now that I am not planning a wedding, there is extra room in my brain to think! I have many ideas now. The first idea that I had that Jon encouraged me to write about is my appreciation for croissants. On the cruise Jon and I looked forward to croissants every morning and the sherbet every afternoon. Croissants make my life better. Every bite is a surprise. I always forget how tasty they are...if they are fresh and good in the first place. They are so buttery, soft, moist yet the outside has a flaky crust. The middle has a different consistency than the ends, yet I dont prefer one over the other. Everybite is refreshing and who doesnt need that in their life. Croissants make my life better and they can make your life better too!
