Back at School

Well tonight was the first night of classes. And why do I say tonight, because my classes didn't start until 2pm so I slept in. Anyway, this semster should be intersting I have a woman teacher which my other female professor was not a good experience. But then again I know that next semster I will also have a female teacher because there are no other options. I am going to a meet the freshman thing tonight so that we can make them feel welcome. What else??? I cut my hair, it is almost as short as when Jon and Joc got married but in a different style. I will be posting a picture (hopefully tomorrw). Anyway, I will also be working on Tues. and Thursday during the semester so when I see you be gentle, I will be tired. That's all for now. Peace. razz

Mom, dad and Keith have been on vacation this past week. Jon packed up his computer and started working we me! It'smile ha ha s been great! I get to see what he's been working on, he gets to hear all the stuff I do...literally, he hears all my phone calls and there have been many of those. At night we don't have to recap our day, we just know. It's been great not to be lonely this week and when I'm dealing with something stressful, he's there to give me a cute smile. smile He's also been very supportive this week as I've been on a detox. That's right, 9 days of as much fruits veggies and water as I can stand. I can also have egg whites, oatmeal and yogurt. whoo hoo! After I got rid of the cravings, headaches, crankiness...I felt good for a few days. I still feel good, but because I've been so busy I haven't had time to prepare food other than salads and I'm bored out of my mind with my lack of options. When I was ready to break one night, Jon stepped right up and ate salad with me. I'm now caffeine free, sugar free, process food free, meat free, alcohol and cheese free. Well, until Saturday and then I can start putting goodies back into the diet.

Hello boys and girls. Guess what? I don't design the magazine anymore! Yeah! My life can return to normal, and I can return to helping clients, and making money, and I can stop designing horrible ads for stupid, unreasonable people who want to write War & Peace in the body of their ad.

Now, let's find me some more work. ;-)

That's right Nicole got her Macbook Pro last night!!! Oh yeah!!! And while it was almost 11pm when I got home, so I haven't played with it yet I am so excited. Just thought that I would let you know. smile big grin smile That's me being excited. I also got a free i-pod and an almost free printer, which is awesome. They gave me super discounts on everything and before you worry I got the warrentee Jon, also with a discount. I love being a student!!!

So, I really enjoy photographing paintball. It's a lot of fun. It's not quite as much fun as playing, but it is a lot of fun. Check out the gallery of shots from the last tourney I went to.

I like this shot because you can see the stream of paint that the guy in the foreground unleashed at his target. I got it using the multiple exposure function on my camera. Although it was really great getting this shot, I did get hit while I was doing it...because, really, I was right behind a guy that was being shot at.

Very Angry Baby Bird

This is the little guy that fell into our pond not too long ago. Perhaps you remember this entry:

Jon rescued a baby blue jay. It jumped into the pond to get away from Mabel. Jon fetched the bird, named Rudy, out of the pond with a dog toy. Rudy can't be found right now, which is a good sign. He was stuck in the backyard for two days. He wasn't alone though. His mom and two other family members were protecting him from Jon and a pesky cat. Both got dive bombed. Jon is much smarter than the cat and quickly came inside. The cat on the other hand almost got his eye poked out.

I finally got the photos developed...because I am a lazy slacker who doesn't have a digital camera. Or I am a photo snot who can't afford the camera he really wants/needs. Whatever.

So, I think Jocie is more excited about it than I am, but she got herself a new Laptop on Friday...and, it's a bright shiny white Ultimate MacBook!

I've already installed the thing that lets it run Winblows, and it does it very well. Well enough that it should never be a real issue ever again. With the price of the new Macs much more inline with mainstream PCs, and the ability to run Windows in a way that makes it a no-brainer, you have NO reason not to buy a Mac. It is two, count'em, two PCs in one. ;-)

Anyway. Doesn't she look happy sitting, working, behind her new machine?

emotional outburst a good thing

So this morning I had an emotional outburst and it made me a little bit later than I wanted to be for leaving but when I drove past school there was an accident that I had just happened, about the time I was supposed to be passing through there. Anyway, so besides making me feel better for getting my anger/frustration out it also kept me out of harms way. satisfied
