Auto-Tune Awesomeness

Jon

Check this out: The annoying-ass technology that makes Kanye West sound like a robot programmed to express himself in the key of G (Get it? G?) can be applied to just about anything. Think about this as you listen to Newt Gingrich, Jim Nance, and Joe Biden in this video clip...because they sound pretty good, even compared to some "professional singers" who are using the technology.

For what it's worth: I would watch the news if it were auto-tuned. Somebody do that. ;-)

Hello everyone. Meet my new "Paintball Marker" (read: Gun). It's a brand new, Orange, Dangerous Power G3. I went and played at GatSplat on Saturday. Keith came with me. He played with my Ion.

We had a lot of fun, and I'm thoroughly impressed with my new Marker. Read on if you really care.

I'm an award winning Website Designer!

GDUSA_logo (1k image)Last night at about 5 pm CT I was informed via e-mail that ohTwentyone (aka Me, in the attic above my in-laws' garage) has been awarded two (2) American Web Design Awards by Graphic Design USA Magazine.

Despite all the really great work we've done for clients in the last year the awards are specifically for the ohTwentyone blog and KeepOpen.com, both of which are personal projects.

There's a joke in there about client ruining projects...but I'm not going to make it. The reality is that it took me well over a year of fits and starts to design either one of those sites, and clients don't typically have that sort of time, or budget.

Although, if you are a client who has the time & budget to have an award-winning web designer spend a year throwing out concepts, by all means call. wink

Another Week as Gone By

Jocelyn

feeling: Excited

The big stuff has been taken care of,of course with the exception of the biggest 'to-do", the Delivery. All classes have been taken, all major purchases have been made, at the end of this week Oliver is considered full term. We'll let him fatten up until he's ready to come into the world. He did turn to a head downward position Sunday/Monday but I think he fell back over and is crooked. I use to know where he was and now I have no clue what part of him is sticking out.

We now get to do little to-do's in order to prepare. Finish art work and curtains. Pre-bake dinners, pack a hospital bag, get relaxing music together, etc. It's very exciting. I don't think I blogged about this yet, but I'm starting to tuck in stuffed animals in the crib and have even looked for old baby dolls to swaddle and put in the swing. Ridiculous or cute. Take your pick.
