So, in case anyone was wondering, the damage for the car comes to $1144.00.
Fan-frikkin-tastic. We're almost at $6,000.00 of damage to my car for the year, and not a penny of it my fault.
*In case anyone missed it, my car got hit while parked in front of my in-laws house and the jerk fled from the scene, so I have to pay my uninsured motorist deductible again. I got hit by a Taxi about 6 months ago, and he/she ran too.

So, the client didn't like the last one I did for him. Oh well. (See that Nicole, don't take it personally.) This one is cool too. My directive? Simple. Clean. White.
Anyway. I like it.
And oh, listen, Mom. It's fake text, not spanish. I think it's real interesting that you didn't have anything to say about the work itself. Geez Louise.

Now I realize that as it is my last year of college, school should be my top priority but I've got to tell you this sucks. So I have decided, mental and physical health should be everyone's top priority.
I mean what good is college education if you cannot use it because you are locked up in a mental facility.
Anyway, I am tired. Not just physically tired but all over mental, emotional, and physically tired.
Someone please tell me that after college it all goes away, and that the small amounts of money that you make off of your degree is worth it because I got to say since I will only be worth between 35 to 46 thousand after school I am not feeling it right now.
On a happier note I think that my thesis is actually possible, thanks to digital technology that allows for the simulation of crowds of people (or schools of fish) in video games (or movies). :sigh:

This is a big deal if you are a design nerd that treats famous designers like professional athletes. It's an even bigger deal if you, the nerd, lives in Dallas, because Mr. Pirtle is a local superstar. He started his illustrious career here in Dallas at The Richards Group.
Anyway. DesignerID.com has an intersting interview with him up and I am attempting to hijack it. Dig:

So, I am baffled by some of the shit on Craigslist.
See, for those of you who live under rocks, you can list things for sale or trade on Craigslist. It's great. I might sell my Bass Amp through it. It's been sitting in the garage for over a year now. Boo.
ANYWAY. I was on there tonight and I found this: dallas craigslist > items wanted > TUMMY CREAM/CELLULITE
The body of which reads something like this:
"TUMMY REDUCE CREAM.WILL BUY OR TRADE FOR BLOND HAIR COLOR OR LOTIONS."
This baffles me. Why would one trade someone else for this relatively inexpensive item? Why would someone who has this relatively inexpensive item trade for another commonly available relatively inexpensive item?
And why is it so urgent as to require typing in all caps?

So, for all you in my little circle who have been switching to Macs, here's another useful tidbit: www.freemacware.com.
This is a great site where they test freeware apps for the Mac and pass the useful/non-sucky ones on to us, the Mac-Adoring public. I've already found a couple of really useful ones, including TadaList.com and their Desktop Widget. It lets me keep a To-Do list on the web and it automagically shows up on my dashboard when I go into the office.
Very, very cool.

It struck me today, as I was getting into my car after getting my lunch, that the first sign that I might have an unhealthy relationship with food should have been when I started preparing hors d'oeuvre for myself and then eating them in the dark by myself.

Today, Don and I spent the day walking around Baltimore. First we went to the Basilica for Mass...pretty formal....the renovation is gorgeous. The place is full of light instead of being dark and oppresive. A few months ago I was at St. Louis in Clarksville where they moved the stain-glass windows. They look much better in the new church at St. Louis. Since there are lots of clear windows and a huge open space, the stain-glass add color rather than darkness.
Second we went to the Cheescake Factory and ate half of our lunch so that we could share a dessert and not be totally stuffed. We finished lunch for dinner.
And finally we went to the Auto Show. I still am leaning toward a Subaru Impreza 5-door Sport. It had a great interior. The Forester isn't bad either and surprisingly it is only one inch longer.
I was surprised how many of the 'hybrids' get mediocre gas mileage and there just weren't many AWD's to look at.

Not that any of you care, or know what the hell I am talking about, but I've added better RSS integration to the site. While you are looking at the front page of the site in Firefox 2 or Safari 2 or any other browser that supports RSS Feeds (does IE7? I don't know) if you look at the right side of the address bar you'll see a little icon that indicates that the site has an RSS feed.
You can bookmark that feed and your browser will let you know if it had an entry on it you haven't seen yet. Go Google RSS or something. What am I, your "How the Internet Works" tutor? Geez.

So, I am writing this thing for a lady about why her website sucks. Mostly it's because it's disorganized and a lot of the content is meaningless...but there is also this overwhelming suckiness of visual design as well. So, here's how I am proposing she change it.
This is just a sample page from deep in the interior of the site. It doesn't mean that there won't be photos and pretty graphics on other pages.
The existing site is: http://enrichmentcenters.com

So right now things are suddenly very rough in the city. I don't wish to discuss this for the masses but just send some positive vibes my way if you have any to spare.
