Think about this the next time you ask a designer to change their work.
Unless they suck altogether, at which point, fire them and hire me.

Okay. So, you all know how I have been struggling with my weight for my entire life. Well, since the third grade anyway. Lately I had started to make progress by eating well and hitting the gym 6 times a week. That's right. 6 Times A Week.
Well, lately I have fallen off the wagon, and it's the result of my frustration over the weight loss thing. You see, I am under 300lbs for the first time in a long time, but I hit that mark before christmas. I've been losing and gaining the same 8 pounds since christmas. Even when I was hitting the gym a lot, I still wasn't losing any more. So I haven't been going so much, and I am still popping up and down. It's nuts. I need to get under 285 so that I can get over this hump and be done with the 290s. It's really frustrating, and unlike some people who would say "Oh yeah? Well, I'll just work out harder, you stupid belly." I say something more like "Well shit. If it's not going to do any good, then…where the hell did I leave that meatball sub?"
I know it's a bad attitude to have, but that's how it is. I need to start hitting the gym again hard. Like, hard hard. Hard.

Well, it's official. The long counter-culter, virus-free, Mac OS X has gone main stream enough that it has attracted attention from the social retards among us. That's right. The first (and now second) OS X virus is in the wild. Does this mean that I will be installing that copy of Norton Anti-Virus I have sitting around?
No.
Here's the thing: The first Mac virus exploits a security hole that was patched seven months ago. I mean, holy hell. You call that a threat? My Mac checks for security updates every day. Come on. Can we all say "Sophos is trying to create a market for Mac anti-virus software?"
The second one requires that you enter your admin password to install it...which means it won't work without you saying "Okay." The OS cannot exactly be blamed for your retardedness.
So that's it. OS X still rules. Bite me, Buzz Burbank.

Holy Schniekies it's cold down here. Let me remind you, two days ago it was 83 and sunner. Now we're expecting a 'wintery mix'. I went on an appointment this morning and there was very very light drizzle. I actually had to put my defrost on because it started freezing on my windshield. On my way up to the appointment I saw 3 accidents on overpasses. One involved at least 8 cars. On my way back I slipped alittle on some ice (my car is great and took it like a champ) but I passes yet 3 more pile ups. Fortunately I was behind a sand truck...not a salt truck...sand. This was at noon thirty. Conditions were bad at 9am. Why we're they just getting to sanding the roads? Ill prepared. I'm taking the day to organize my office. How exciting!

Enough with the paintball already. (just kidding, but we would like to hear about other things)
Let's talk about important stuff like snow and valentine's. We had a fabulous snowfall Saturday night. It started in the evening and ended Sunday morning. We got more than 12 inches. Columbia was claiming 20 inches. Mom & Mike got around 8. It was great because of the timing. It didn't mess up anything except a lot of church services. I hope people remember to give double next week. Wonderful Carroll County had us plowed to bare pavement by 10:30am. Now that is service. It is warm again so everything is melting fast, but we can enjoy the beauty for a few more days because of the bounty. Why the ecstacy over snow? We hadn't had a serious snow since early December. A winter without snow is just dreary.
Valentine's Day: Don and I had a very nice valentine's dinner at a Chinese restaurant mainly because we were both running late and didn't want to cook. We exchanged cards - he likes serious ones and picked out a really special one for me this year. And, of course, we got just a little bit of chocolate. For us, gifts are optional; it's the little notes that count.
Your turn Nicole.....did you really wear the pj's to class?

OKay, so at this moment I do not have a team, so this is purely hypothetical...but a fun excersize none-the-less.
So! What should I call my paintball team? I like the idea of names that use a local city, and I also like names that are adjectives. I don't know why.
My favorite pro team names are: (note, these are no my favorite teams, just names)
1) XSV (sound it out, yo)
2) Infamous
3) Tonton Flinguers (that's french, yo)
4) Philadelphia Americans (I liked it when it was All Americans too, even though they had a bunch of brits on the team at the time.)
Here's what I've got so far:
1.) Bedford Bedlam
2.) Sociopath
3.a) Midcities Mercenaries
3.b) Midcities Mayhem
3.c) Midcities Maelstrom
4.) Arlington Anarchy
5.) Nort Texas Entropy (aka N'Tropy, bitches)
oh yes, and, in a world where Dallas is right next to Baltimore and Jeff and I still play together:
6) Roswell
Of course, this is a working list, so please, add to the list if you are so inclined, or vote on a favorite, or just tell me that I am a goober. Of course, you realize that my favorite (which I just thought up right now) is the NT Entropy, but no one will read it correctly, or say it right, because it's a physics thing, and no one will get it.

I know I've reached a new point in my life when I have a great Valentine's Day because we're having our sprinkler system installed today. This summer I will pamper my plants and grass with regular waterings. Our yard will be enjoyed by all those that walk passed and the backyard will be a lush green oasis.
Happy Valentine's Day to all!

I have been feeling crappy this week.
That's really it.
I've got my paintball gun almost shooting the way I want it, but I need to go to a field (or somewhere else with a chronograph) to really finish. It's shooting really fast. At least, I can shoot it as fast as it will go now. It's limited by software right now. Which, really, is fine by me. 17 Balls per second is plenty fast for the type of ball I play.
Keith is getting a new 'gun for his birthday, of which I am totally jealous, because he bought one off of eBay and he totally under paid for it. He's getting a $1200 gun for $475. It's nuts. That being said, I pray that he did not just buy someone's problem child. That could be bad.
