I wish you had mentioned that those crazy tires were making a lot of noise.....we found out the hard way that they have a right and wrong side for being mounted on the car. Something special about their design and dealing with water on the road.....Anyway, it doesn't matter now.

Dad and I talked about this. ALL modern tires have a right and wrong direction for mounting. Those particular tires had big arrows on them pointing in the direction of rotation. I don't know how anyone could miss them.

They were noisy because they were old and dry-rotting and probably also because they had been mounted wrong in the past.
