08/30/2007: "New Rejected Work: ACEP 40th Anniversary Logo"

So, ACEP's Graphic Standard doesn't allow manipulation of their logo, or use of any of its elements without using the whole thing (including their slogan, oh boy. *See Previous Blog Post), so they rejected this one, even though I think it's freakin' Brilliant!
The assignment was to design a 40th Anniversary logo for ACEP to use for the next year. In order for the rejected mark to make any sense, you need to see their existing logo:

Anyway. I knew it was going to be rejected because of their Graphic Standard, but I submitted it anyway, and it'll probably go in the portfolio regardless, because I really dig it.
