Okay, so apparently Bruce Sterling (whose writing I generally enjoy, although I am wading about waist-deep in The Difference Engine right now) has a 'Blog on Wired.com. I, being the behind the bleeding edge, but more with-it than the general poulation guy that I am, just found this out.

He links, in the Blog, to this short story...or maybe essay, I'm not really sure:

It's about designers, and I am a designer, and I think it's funny that Bruce likes them. Us. Well, he's talking about product design, so I guess really them.
